Hallmark Get Carded Challenge

Hallmark. It is a name we have known for years and years. We associate it with quality and good taste. But with the popularity of computers today, we get away from the personal touch we used to have with our family and friends.

I jumped at the chance to participate in the Hallmark Get Carded Challenge. It is the opportunity to connect and reconnect with the people you care about. This is the challenge to send seven cards in seven days. I was sent a package of ten cards and even the stamps to send them.

I am on day three. On day one, I sent a birthday card to my daughter Becca. It was a little late but I am anxious to hear from her. Today I mailed a birthday card to my oldest grandson, J.J. who is turning 17 years old on the 10th. This opportunity couldn’t have come at a better time. With six children and twelve grandchildren, it is a challenge in itself to remember birthdays.

Next I will mail to two of my grandsons a card to encourage them for the new school year. Mikey lives in Maryland and Joseph lives in Virginia. Sabrina, my granddaughter will receive a late birthday card but I am adding a pair of earrings along with the card. She won’t care that it is late. I have chosen a special card for a special sister-in-law. She is always thinking of others and it will be nice to remember her just because.

This is one post that will be a work in progress. I will share with you the response from these mailings.

  1. I would send a card to my mom. She has had to put up with a lot for all of her kids. She still does day in, and day it. Don’t know what I would do without her.
