San Diego Mom’s Night Out
Networking in Disguise
When you are a mother, you are never really alone in your thoughts. A mother always has to think twice, once for herself and once for her child.

I attended San Diego Mom’s Night Out at Humphrey’s Restaurant. This is my second event. I love this opportunity for making new friends, greeting old friends and networking. I sell baby hats from my Journeykat Korner Etsy shop and was able to share them with several mothers who attended. This is a great time and very beneficial to anyone who has product or services to share.
This gathering of moms is designed to get moms out of the house for some fun and socializing. I am a mother and grandmother and I was welcome in this friendly environment. There were also women who weren’t mothers attending. They still had common interests with other women. I would encourage any woman who wants a nice, friendly night out to attend the next one.
This fun night starts out with wine and chocolate. Continue reading
I am so happy to introduce my newest grandson. This is my twelfth grandchild and I am as proud of the first one as I am the last one. I am one lucky Nonie. I never thought that my life would be so full of love and wonderment. I love them all.
I am currently in Idaho hopefully helping my daughter with her three year old Hailey. She is so much fun and so full of life. I definitely feel my age when I am around her. I live in San Diego and believe it or not, it is really cold here!!! LOL. Anyway, it is taking me some adjusting. I am hoping that these two weeks will be as memorable for my granddaughter and daughter as it is for me. I just want to give my daughter the time she needs to bond with Dylan. And to rest whenever possible.
I am happy to be able to spend time with my grandchildren and be able to see my grandson while he is so young. They change so fast. He won’t look the same at all when they come to San Diego for my daughter Becca’s wedding in March.
So my next few posts will be from here. Middleton, Idaho. Did I say it was cold? Ha Ha.
I received a copy of My Memories Suite to use and review. I downloaded it to my computer and took off!!! Wow, it was easy to make pages that look professional with my own photos. The possibilities are endless.
I opened the program and chose Sweet Baby Girl as my template. It is ready for you to add your photos and your own words. This is how my first page turned out.
I take every opportunity to show off my grandchildren and my granddaughter Elodie was a great choice for this album.
As I get into the program, I realize that I have just begun to make this my own. I can add music, narration and links to make it an online album to share with my family and friends. It gives you the option to record your own voice. It will even let you add a video to the page. And all I was thinking about is how simple it is to use.
The program allows you to download templates from their website. Many are free and you get a wide choice. I would have liked it better if I could have chosen more than one at a time to put in my program. But there were so many I loved I just took the time to add them. .
You can crop the pictures to make them fit the prepared pages.
The pages coordinate with each other.
You have the option of having your pages bound into a book or printing them from your own printer. I do scrap booking and these would make a wonderful addition to my own albums.
This is a program that you will love if you love showing off your family. The hard part for me is deciding which of my eleven grandchildren to do next. Of course, with the ease of this program, I will do them all.

CollageIt by Pearl Mountain Technology
I just received my CollageIt software. As you can see, I loved making my first collage. Looks good for a beginner. Just goes to show how easy it is to use. The hardest part was deciding which color to use for the background. And that was simple enough with a drop down window.
I went to the zoo on Monday. I was looking forward to getting the CollageIt software so I was taking pictures with the purpose of making this collage. I take so many pictures and I usually just file them on my computer and look at them occasionally (rarely). This program took my photographs and displayed them for me in a way I can enjoy. The pictures are clear. You can crop the picture in each frame and even switch places. Then when you are happy with your photo you can export it to your computer, Facebook, Flickr, or email it. There is even an option to set it as your wallpaper. I love sharing my pictures with my friends and family. And every time I look at the collage, it brings back the memory of my happy day at the zoo.
This program is available for Windows or Mac users.
Each winner will receive one (1) CollageIt Pro licensed code valued at $19.95.
