Newman’s Own Organic

Newman’s Own Organic

I have never thought myself an organic loving person. I was surprised at how good they can be. Newman’s Own Organic foods are in a class by themselves. They are flavorful and good to eat.

I received a collection of their products to try for myself. I was skeptical but plunged right in. I am putting their chocolates at the top of my list of candies that I recommend and eat. I loved the raspberry, caramel and peanut butter cups. Yum!!! They weren’t what I considered organic should taste like. They were rich in flavor and satisfied my sweet tooth.

My son loved the Ginger-O’s Cookies. He said that they tasted like gingerbread but with a little bite to them. He thought it was because the ingredients were natural. The Newman-O’s Creme Filled Chocolate Cookies were another favorite. They were crisp and tasty. I would have never associated them with what I considered “organic”. And the juicy dried fruits were amazing.

I am changing my opinion on organic. I love products that have ingredients I have heard of. I will try more of Newman’s Own Organic products and recommend them to everyone I know.

Ola! Granola Review and Giveaway

Ola! Handbaked Granola

Review and Giveaway

OLA! granola,

I have to admit I have never cared for granola. They almost always say natural but they taste like sugar and preservatives to me. Not so with this awesome product. Ola! Handbaked Granola is so good.

I was skeptical but Ola! Handbaked Granola is exactly what it says it is, 100% natural. The taste is perfect. I can taste all the ingredients without having to taste a lot of sugar. This has the right amount of sweetness without being overpowering.

Ola! Granola, Life with Norma Kay

I tried it on my vanilla yogurt. It was amazing. I had to keep adding more because I loved it so much. The quality shines through. Nothing artificial, less sodium, fat, sugar and calories than other granola. I know that is why it is so good!

It comes in vanilla almond, no nut vanilla and cranberry orange pecan. It has whole pieces of the nuts and you can see the cranberries.Ola! granola, Life with Norma Kay

You can purchase these in supermarkets or order them online. Here is a code for free shipping  LN2013.  But be sure and enter my giveaway. Winner gets three 9oz. packages just like the ones in the picture.

Oransi Fridge Air Purifier Review and Giveaway

Oransi Fridge Air Purifier

Review and Giveaway

Oransi Fridge Air Purifier, Life with Norma Kay IMG_9382 IMG_9380

I am a homemaker who always used an opened box of baking soda in my fridge and thought that was enough. I know that when I used this in my small apartment sized fridge, I was constantly spilling it, making more work for me. But now I have a small, compact purifier that is so silent that I have to look for the light on the front to know that it is working.

I was very skeptical when I put this into the fridge. Since my refrigerator is so small, any odor comes wafting towards me when the door is open. So to my amazement, I can actually tell the difference with the Oransi Fridge Air Purifier. I am not tasting the odors of the foods in other foods like I used to. It was so easy to use that I am sorry I waited so long to try one.

The Oransi Fridge Air Purifier is a lightweight freshener weighing only 0.2 lbs. It is only 4” x 2.8” x 2.5” in size. It is very easy to use and economical because there are no replacement filters and nothing to clean.  This air purifier uses 2 AA batteries that require replacement approximately every 45-90 days.  It also had a built-in micro processor that controls the operation of the air purifier so it will cycle on and off to save battery life.  And the neutral color and cool contemporary design fits right into my refrigerator without being a focal point.

This air purifier features their patented Piezo-electric technology your refrigerator is cleaned silently without the harmful side effects of ozone that is found in standard ionizers.

If you are tired of the odors affecting your foods that you store in your refrigerator, then you would definitely want to check this out. Visit Orsani today and order yours. And enter the giveaway below. These make great gifts too.

Sattwa Chai Review and Giveaway

Sattwa Chai is a family owned and operated business. It was established in 1994. It is an original pioneer in the chai tea catagory and carries on its vision to this day. They support indiginous peoples in both South America and India. 10% of their sales are donated to life-supportive projects around the world. Their motto is “Protect the rainforests. Protect the mother”.

Sattwa Chai Tea is made of 100% real organic tea and spices. It contains no additives of any kind. It is both organic and Fair Trade Cerified.

When this opportunity came up, I asked my daughter if I liked chai tea. She said yes. So I signed up. I wasn’t really sure if I had ever had it so I was surprised a little when I tasted it. It is a very flavorful drink that reminded me of the fall. The spices were reminders of cool evenings and falling leaves.

I mixed my first drink the traditional way with 1/2 cup milk and 1/2 cup Sattwa Chai Concentrate. It was a little strong for my taste but I passed it around for my daughter and her fiance to try. They liked it. Then my daughter who is lactose intolerant wanted to try it with her soy milk. She blended it with two parts soy milk and one part Sattwa Chai Concentrate and it was amazing. It was a perfect blend for my palate and I loved it. The soy even added a bit of nuttiness to it that accented it nicely.

Next my daughter made a milk shake with it. She was having a lot of fun at this point. Of course, she used soy ice cream and soy milk. She is completely sold on this product. I will have to keep my shelves stocked from now on.

I am including a few recipes from the website https://www.sattwachai.com/. We are becoming more adventurous. With a good, solid product like this, all you really need to add is your imagination.

Javabites Review and Giveaway 9/13

Javabites Review and Giveaway

I received Javabites to review. I am not the biggest cookie fan but was excited to try something new. I patiently waited while my cup of tea brewed and then sat down with all five flavors deciding which one to try first.

I chose Cinnamon Cappuccino one first. My first bite was great. These cookies are crisp and light and flavorful. Just the way I think a cookie should be. You could taste the cinnamon without it being overpowering and the cappuccino blend was so good.

Next came White Chocolate Vanilla Latte. I am not a big fan of white chocolate but the blend of the flavors was perfect. Nothing overpowered the other. I think this one was my favorite.

The Chocolate Chip Espresso came next. Every cookie I tried had the same consistent crunch without being hard. This was like no other chocolate chip cookie I had ever eaten. It takes chocolate chip cookies to a new level.

Once again the white chocolate in the White Chocolate Mocha Javabite was subtle and blended perfectly with the mocha. I love these cookies.

And last but not least, Almond Mocha. The flavor of this one burst in your mouth. The almond was strong but mixed with the mocha made a wonderful cookie combination.

These cookies are all natural, have zero transfat, no preservatives and are only 100 calories. You won’t find a better cookie will all that going for it.

These are the best cookies I ever ate. Hands down. And you can order them online at www.Javabites.com. Always keep it simple and just plain good. You can enter my giveaway to win some of these delightful bites for yourself. And while you are at it, visit the other groups and enter or leave a comment. We always love to hear from you.
